Obituary of Mary F. Bradford
Mary F. Bradford, 102, of Syracuse, NY, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. Born in Fulton, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Agnes (Baker) Meany. Mary retired as a printer from the Syracuse Newspaper and was a member of their Retirees’ Club. She was a member of ITU International Typographical Union. She was a kindergarten teacher at St. James School, a communicant of St. James Church and a member of their choir.
One of Mary’s greatest joys was going to New York City to see the musical on Broadway, My Fair Lady. She loved to walk, go on long bicycle rides and ice skating. She never lost her temper and she never met anyone she didn’t like.
Mary is survived by her son, Frank K. Bradford Jr. of Syracuse, NY; grandchildren, Matthew Bradford and Elizabeth Ann (Lance) Leuschen of Syracuse, NY; great-grandchildren, Ava Bradford, Aiden and Ella Leuschen; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Sr. in 1993.
Calling hours will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205 from 4 to 7 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 with prayers at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Hope Church, 4845 S. Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13205. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to SPCA CNY, 5878 E Molloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211.
