To the Culeton Family: I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Dick. I had the pleasure of working with Dick on the "Sneaker Squad" and again in the DA's Office as a Investigator. He was a great cop with a great personality. I will always member the partnership of Culeton and DuVal. We had some great times back then. It was fun going to work and the get togethers after work.
RIP my friend you will not be forgotten.

My sincere condolences to everyone in the Culeton family in the wake of Dick's passing. He was an accomplished athlete, a terrific cop,and a truly funny guy. Who else could fall asleep and miss Sig 94 time; then submit an OT slip for finishing up late? His was an enthusiastic and productive career, protecting the people of the City of Syracuse. May his good deeds follow him into Heaven and may he Rest In Peace.

As with others I also worked with Dick in CID for a few years. There was never a dull moment with Dick around. Four of us went on a deer hunting trip years back. Andy Morzienski was our sergeant at the time and warned us not to take a van that we had access to. Upon returning to work days later, Andy walked into the office and was holding a deer hair asking how it got into the van. No one said anything for a moment and then Dick replied. To this day I still laugh recalling what Dick said! Those of us who know Dick can imagine what came out of his mouth. We had a lot of good times. RIP Dick

My sincere condolences to the Culeton Family and his many friends & colleagues!
Dickie Culeton was a dedicated police officer and a true friend. I am sure when I say this with the backing of my unit from the New York State Police, the brotherhood was second to none during our times working with Dick doing what was right.
