The time spent listening to the stories of how interesting and eventful your life was will last in my memories forever. I am fortunate to have been able to introduce the woman I married to you. We will miss you. You will forever be in our hearts.

I am not sure about an afterlife, but if there is one I am sure my mom was there to help him over to what lies beyond. She was always fond of her uncle and from what I have heard of him and remember from my youth, I understand why. I remember coming to visit great gramma at his house, playing with the dog and hearing about rabbit hunting.
I wish him well on his new journey and know that if our rewards in the afterlife come from how we lived this one he will be well rewarded. Good luck and gods speed Uncle Elmer.

Grandpa was a interesting man. He talked about his youth,if asked, growing up on a farm and his family feeding out-of-work men during the depression. He stated he did not realize there was a depression because no one had money, but they always had food living on a farm. Grandpa talked about working at the bank, and how he could look out the window and see donkeys pulling the barges up the Erie canal. We'll miss E.L. and his history.
