Obituary of Dudley J. Riffanacht

Dudley J. Riffanacht, age 78, of 2518 Route 11A, LaFayette, New York died Saturday, February 9, 2002 at his home. Mr. Riffanacht was born January 11, 1924 in Lowville, New York the son of Earl and Muriel (Honer) Riffanacht. He served in the Army Air Forces as a Flight Engineer during World War II. He retired in 1984 after 14 years as a Plumber for General Motors. He owned and operated LaFayette Heating & Plumbing and was a School Bus Driver for 6 years in the LaFayette School District. He was a member of LaFayette Fire Department for 25 years, a member of Tully Lodge F&AM 896 and a Boy Scout Leader of Troop 100. He is survived by his companion, Rachel Kent from LaFayette, New York; four daughters: Capt. Judy A. Logeman from Gaithersburg, Maryland, Joan M. and Jane M. Riffanacht both from LaFayette, New York and Janis S. Croop from Pittsford, New York; one son: John D. Riffanacht from New Holland, Pennsylvania; one brother: Harold Riffanacht from Tully, New York and 6 grandchildren. Funeral: Friday, February 15, 2002, 10:00 a.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Inc., 2584 Field Lane, LaFayette, New York with Rev. John Kloepfer officiating.
